MAH BANOU, which translates into “The Lady of The Moon,” was introduced to be the classical look of Sara Mirza as it was intended to be representative of the rich Persian cultural heritage with its “Termeh” torso, the traditional Persian fabric, and the combination of Faux Fur and Velvet to be the indication of its proud Canadian identity.

MAH BANOU is a complete outfit consisting of a cocktail dress, a coat, a fur ring, and a shawl.

The design process starts with a dream, turned into a poem by Sara Mirza, describing an astonishing woman leaving everyone in wonder. The pieces are designed to emphasize her elegance, beauty and curiosity in her own unique way. She is never fearless, but always brave and forever timeless.

HOMA is named after a legendary bird in Persian mythology, believed to roam the high skies invisibly and never touch the ground. The piece is a combination of contrasting velvet for the upper torso and mint green Termeh. It was designed to create a comfortable style yet light and dramatic with the asymmetrical pattern of the torso.
